Our Church

As a church school we have strong links with our church Emmanuel Community Church International which is found in the heart of central Walthamstow a short walk from the bustling and busy Walthamstow market.  Emmanuel Community Church International is part of the local community and has club’s for children, teens, young people and senior citizens. Many of the volunteers you see in school are members of the Church community who are helping to enrich the lives of the children in school by sharing their skills and lending that ‘extra pair of hands’ when needed.

Children from the school are invited to attend services and Ministers/Children’s workers from the church visit us during the school year.  These visits are important to us as they bring thoughtful messages around themes that the children are working on which have a positive impact on our daily school life, which we hope is clear to see when you visit our school.

Every activity the students undertake is underpinned by biblical values with a view to growing accomplished, well-educated young people.  We have weekly assemblies, daily devotions and prayers, scripture readings and a reflective area which all serve to help the children explore their faith.

The following is a message from Pastor Doug Williams the Senior Minister of Emmanuel Community Church International

Emmanuel Community Church International has been at the  heart of the community,… with a heart for the community for a long time. Our affiliation with Emmanuel Community School (ECS) is therefore easily understood and deeply appreciated.

Members of our church have volunteered many hours into working for the school to become a reality and the dream has come to pass. As a church we want to see the whole community impacted by contributions that enhance the living and welfare of all who live here, and this school is certainly set to make its mark in this regard.

We have already welcomed the ECS into the area at one of our weekend services, and have supported them as they hosted the dynamic WATOTO children’s choir from Uganda. We would like to extend that welcome to all in the community and invite you to visit our website to discover all that we do at the church. Why not even come by and pay us a visit in person? We would love to see you.
